Carl-Magnus Helling   suomeksi auf deutch


born in 1974, received his first violin lessons from his father in Turku, Finland. He went on to study with Igor Bezrodnyi and Alexander Vinnitski at the Sibelius Academy, Helsinki, with Yair Kless at the Rubin Academy in Tel-Aviv and the Graz Music Academy.

He has won numerous prizes, including the first prize in the Chamber Music Competition at the Rubin Academy in Tel-Aviv in 1995. As a soloist he has performed with several orchestras in Finland, Germany, Austria and Russia. As a chamber musician he performs regularly, for instance as a member in Trio Paian. Recently the first CD-recording of the trio, including works by D.Shostakovich and P. Juon, was published.

Carl-Magnus Helling has been associate first concertmaster of the SWR Radio Symphony Orchestra in Stuttgart since 2002.
